The Cops Direct Mission Is Simple: Enable Law Enforcement To Save Lives When Nobody Else Can.

Cops Direct was born over a decade ago when many of my friends had returned from combat deployments, honorably separated from the military and entered into a career in law enforcement. Knowing that I had a significant amount of relationships and understanding of the ‘tactical medical’ realm, they reached out to me with a problem.

“Our Department Has No Funding For First Responder Medical Equipment.”

That’s when I got to work, creating a lifeline for agencies to get the medical gear that they need to save the lives of their own and innocent civilians alike when bad things happen. Everything we sent would be to that department’s exact specifications…no cookie cutter kits knowing that the needs differ from urban to rural and everything in between.

Cops Direct support has saved lives in mass shootings, ‘officer down’ calls, missing persons and more.

It’s uncomfortable to think about but it is a reality. When aid is not rendered fast, people die. When an active shooter has invaded a school, it is law enforcement that has to deal with the threat -and the wounded- until paramedics and EMS can safely enter the space. When a civilian or officer is wounded on the street, they can die if life saving measures aren’t taken immediately.

To this day, nobody does what Cops Direct does and people are alive because of it. We do this because of your financial support.

Our Mission

Cops Direct is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to one simple mission: to provide life-saving medical kits and trauma response training to law enforcement officers across the United States. We serve the men and women who are first to arrive at emergencies—ensuring they have what they need to save lives, protect themselves, and support their communities. We deliver high-quality, field-tested gear and training—fast, free, and without red tape.

Why This Matters

The average EMS response time in the U.S. is 7 minutes.
A person with traumatic bleeding can die in under 5.
Officers are often on-scene in less than 1 minute.

Cops Direct fills the critical gap between the 911 call and EMS arrival. We provide Individual Officer Trauma Kits (IOTKs) designed for real-world emergencies—shootings, stabbings, overdoses, and car crashes. These kits empower officers to act immediately, stabilize victims, and save lives.

"I recently learned or your organization from reading Soldier Systems Daily and the work you’ve done in equipping officers and agencies with medical kits. Most of our deputies have individual med kits, but one area we’ve had trouble getting needed equipment is at our range. We do have a trauma kit along with basic first aid supplies, but both kits are located in our main office and we have 40 acres of training area that we use. What we’d like to be able to do is to have 3-4 separate kits, each located at one of our ranges and contained in a marked ammo can. Ideally, each kit would be able to address either a couple of patients or multiple gunshots. Please let me know if you’re able to assist or have any other ideas that would be of help."
